Why we built this
A four-star course is a four-star course — for somebody. The question no golf app ever answered is whether that somebody plays anything like you.
We love golf. But we spent years frustrated by it — not the game, but trying to find the right courses. We'd read dozens of reviews before a first round and still show up surprised. A course with glowing ratings would feel overpriced and underwhelming. A place with mediocre reviews would turn out to be a hidden gem. The problem wasn't the courses — it was the reviews. The same course is "too tight" to a slicer, "a pushover" to a scratch player, and "worth every penny" to the golfer who only cares about conditions. One stranger's opinion wasn't helping anyone.
And even when we found a course worth trying, we were going in blind. Most apps gave us a satellite image and a scorecard. No way to visualize how our game would actually play out on the holes ahead.
The stakes only go up when you travel. Plan a golf trip and you're not picking one course — you're picking three or four, sight unseen, with travel, hotels, and green fees riding on every choice. A bad match at home costs you an afternoon. A bad match on a trip costs a day you don't get back.

Coverage
Currently available in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont, with more states on the way. New regions launch as separate packages so pricing scales honestly with what's included.
The team
Bryant, Max, and Scott first worked together at Molecular, a Boston digital agency, back in the early 2000s. Twenty years later, they're building together again.
Bryant Shea
Bryant has spent twenty years in marketing technology — leading product marketing, customer data platforms, and content management, and shaping digital strategy for brands like adidas, HP, Samsung, and Fidelity. He's a team builder and a coach at heart, the kind who'd rather fix the thing than admire the problem. And he's been chasing the right golf course his whole life.
Max Fresen
Max has spent his career making complicated technology feel human — leading experience, creative, and product teams across industries, from big-brand digital platforms to applied AI. He's the one who asks "would anyone actually enjoy using this?" — and then keeps rebuilding until the answer is yes.
Scott Simmons
Scott has been building digital platforms since the early 2000s — twenty-five years of turning ambitious ideas into systems that actually ship, for everyone from scrappy teams to enterprise giants. Colleagues describe him as a skilled listener and an exceptional problem solver — the person you want in the room when it gets complicated.
